doTerra’s Emotional Aromatherapy Collection
doTerra’s Emotional Aromatherapy Collection
The answer is YES !! Essential oils have been around for centuries and used for thousands of years for all sorts of maladies. They are plant extracts that are taken from the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. In this blog post, I will show you how essential oils can be used to calm your child with focus and attention issues and why many parents are turning to these little bottles to bring peace back into their home.

Since essential oils are a very unregulated area of natural health, it’s imperative that you choose those oils that have been tested thoroughly to be sure you are using the purest essential oils around. doTerra is the brand that I use and the brand I recommend to my clients because I know they have done the extensive research to be sure that every drop is pure and that there are no additives. Many companies add in other oils to lower the cost and then you are not getting 100 % pure oils. doTerra goes through multiple tests with 3 independent labs to ensure the quality and safety of our oils. They are carefully distilled from the plants at the precise time that experienced growers deem as the time to extract these precious oils for therapeutic benefits.
When you are thinking about incorporating essential oils into your child’s routine, you are probably asking , Well, how do I use them?” There are two ways that I recommend you use essential oils with your child.
Topically – Put 1-2 drops in your hand and add a carrier oil, like fractionated coconut oil, rub hands together and apply. You can apply every 4-6 hours. You can also make a roller bottle which can make it easier to apply.
Aromatically – Put 1-2 drops in the palm of your child’s hand, cup around your nose and mouth and inhale. Essential oils are quickly absorbed by the smell receptors, which have a direct link to the limbic system by way of the olfactory nerve. The limbic system is part of the brain that supports a variety of functions including smell, emotions, behavior, and memory. For this reason, essential oils have an especially powerful effect via aromatic application.
doTerra has lots of oils to choose from to calm your child. Here’s some of my favorites:
Balance (Grounding Blend) – it does just as it says. It helps ease anxious feelings and promotes a calm and grounding effect on your emotions.
Vetiver – this is the oil that calmed my son so much that a friend asked me what I was doing to calm him. This oil is known for it’s grounding and calming effect on the emotions. A study was done using vetiver and when the children inhaled the oil three times a day for 30 days they had improved brain wave patterns and behavior and did better in school. Eighty percent of the children also improved when using cedarwood oil.
Ylang Ylang – this oil uplifts mood while providing a calming effect.
Peace – This blend contains many oils that are used for relaxation and calming, such as Lavender, Marjoram, Ylang Ylang and Vetiver.
Petitgrain – This oil provides calming and relaxing benefits when used aromatically.
There are two ways for you to purchase them, retail or wholesale. Of course, I recommend wholesale because friends don’t let friends buy retail when they can get something at wholesale, do they?
So here’s how to get them at wholesale. doTerra has something called a Wholesale Membership. Basically you would purchase a Wholesale Membership for $35 and then be able to purchase anything from doTerra for 25% off retail. What a deal, right? That’s how I purchase my oils too 🙂
I LOVE chatting oils and so the best way to become a wholesale customer is to book a FREE 45 minute call with me so we can discuss what you are trying to target with essential oils. We will go over your health goals, a little about doTerra and then we will pick the products that best meets your needs. There’s no pressure to buy, but if you do see something you’d like to try, I can help you get set up for wholesale pricing. How does that sound? All you have to do is click here and book your appointment.
I can’t wait to chat with you 🙂
